How OQS uses browser storage
Necessary storage supports checkout when available, security, and remembering your package. Optional Google Tag Manager stays off until you accept analytics; its GA4 tag operates only when the approved container is published. We do not currently load advertising tags. This policy describes the current OQS website implementation; third-party services may change their own cookies.
Necessary website storage
- oqs-analytics-consent-v1 — OQS local storage remembers your analytics choice on this browser until you change it or clear site data.
- oqs-cart-v1 — OQS local storage remembers the selected package until you change it or clear site data.
- oqs-direction and oqs-order — OQS session storage keeps checkout notes and an order reference for the current browser session. It is cleared when that session ends, subject to browser behavior.
- oqs_commerce — OQS session cookie, limited to the commerce API path, helps protect and associate your checkout session. It expires at the end of the browser session. It is Secure on the production HTTPS site, HttpOnly, and SameSite Strict.
Payment and portal services
Stripe payment fields may use cookies or similar storage needed for payment security, fraud prevention, and payment-method features such as Link. Stripe controls those technologies. If you visit the invitation-only Jira Service Management customer portal, Atlassian may use its own login and security cookies. OQS analytics consent does not control these separate, necessary services. See Stripe Privacy Center and Atlassian Privacy Policy.
Optional analytics
Only after you select Accept analytics on an eligible public page does OQS load Google Tag Manager (GTM-WLZJLN7H). When its approved GA4 tag is published, Google may set analytics cookies, including _ga and related GA4 identifiers; Google controls their precise lifetime, which can vary with configuration and browser restrictions. OQS does not intentionally send customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment details, checkout secrets, portal content, or private URLs as analytics event parameters. We keep advertising consent denied. See Google Privacy Policy.
Your controls
Select Reject optional or Accept analytics in the first-visit notice, or use Cookie Preferences in the footer later. Revoking analytics stops new optional Google tag requests after the page reloads; it cannot undo data previously sent while consent was active. You can also clear previously stored analytics cookies in your browser. Blocking necessary storage may prevent checkout or secure sign-in from working.
